What Is “Registration Information” and Why Is It Required?

Your Registration Information includes all the ATF-required details and personal data needed to complete and submit your Form 4 or Form 1 application.

This information ensures your submission meets federal requirements and is processed correctly through the ATF eForms system.

Below is everything included in your Registration Information on Silencer Shop:

Full legal name (must match your government-issued ID)


Date of birth


Place of birth


Current residential address


Citizenship


*Non-U.S. citizens in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant visa must also provide an exception document, such as a hunting license or permit.

Ethnicity and race (required ATF data fields)


Social Security Number (SSN) – optional but recommended for faster processing


15 registration questions required by the ATF


Registration type – choose Trust, Individual, or Corporation

If registering with an NFA Gun Trust, upload your trust document.
If you purchased and completed your trust through Silencer Shop, it will be automatically uploaded to your account.


A valid passport-style photo


Fingerprints

Please Note: You can complete all sections of your Registration Information in your Silencer Shop dashboard online under the Registration Information — except for fingerprints.

We recommend filling out all other required information in advance to get a head start before visiting a Silencer Shop Kiosk or mailing in your fingerprint cards.
