Free state customers (suppressors and AOWs from Silencer Shop): As of August 13, 2026, there is no ATF wait time for your purchase. Silencer Shop ships your suppressor to your dealer in a couple of days. Complete a 4473 and NICS background check and take it home.
ATF processing times vary and are determined entirely by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Once your Form 4 is submitted, you’ll need to wait for ATF approval before your suppressor or NFA item can be transferred.
When your Form 4 is approved, both you and your dealer will receive an approval email directly from the ATF.
Please note that Silencer Shop is not notified by the ATF of your approval — we rely on your selected dealer for that update.
